📖 Historians have searched for evidence to verify this legend. A document by Lieutenant Biofacy (a French officer) mentions Sùng Chúa Đà as a “King of the Mông” 🏯, who built strong fortresses and raided villages, but does not reference the stone pillar.

👉 When researchers traveled to Đường Thượng, they found the stone pillar buried under a cornfield 🌽. Locals, believing there was gold inside, had broken parts of its base. 🚜🔨

🥖 They were left to starve, with no food or water.

“Upon becoming chieftain, he ordered the carving of this execution pillar to punish those he deemed traitors. There was no need for torture—victims simply withered away in agony.”
