The Journey to Dong Van

Dong Van

🌟 The Journey to Dong Van: My Story with Chut – An Unforgettable Experience on the Stone Plateau 🌴🌿

🌅 Starting from Ha Giang: The Gateway to a Dream

Hello, my name is Tuan, but everyone calls me Ty – sounds more familiar, right? 😉 Accompanying me on this trip is Chut, a petite girl from Thailand 🇹🇭, with a bright smile and eyes full of curiosity.

As we set off from Ha Giang City, Chut looked at me and laughed:

“Ty, today I will trust you completely. If I fall… you’re responsible!” 😂

I burst into laughter:

“Don’t worry, just hold on tight and you’ll be fine! But don’t close your eyes, or you’ll miss the most beautiful sights of your life.” 🌄✨

And truly, just past Bac Sum Pass, the Quan Ba Heaven Gate appeared before us. From here, the entire peaceful town of Tam Son and the famous Twin Mountains stretched under the golden sunlight.

Chut exclaimed:

“Ty, I’ve never seen anything this beautiful! Is this a dream?”

“No, it’s not a dream,” I replied. “This place is truly breathtaking. Ha Giang will stay with you forever.” 💚

We stopped at a small coffee shop near the Heaven Gate. The owner, a young Dao ethnic man, had bright eyes and a warm voice. He shared his dream of growing medicinal plants and running a homestay in his homeland. Chut listened attentively, eyes sparkling:

“Ty, he’s like a character from a movie. Truly inspiring!” ✨

🌲 Winding Roads – A Heart-Pounding Adventure

Passing through Yen Minh Pine Forest, the atmosphere became strangely quiet. Chut, sitting behind me, hugged me gently and whispered:

“Ty, this pine forest is magical. It feels like I’m in a fairy tale.” 🌳💚

“Wait until we reach Tham Ma Pass, then you’ll truly understand what it means for your heart to race,” I said with a playful smile.

As we entered the winding road, the cool breeze hit our faces. Chut suddenly screamed:

“Ty! I’m scared! Can we slow down a bit?” 😱

I reassured her:

“Don’t worry, I’ve ridden this road countless times. Just hold on tight!”

When we stopped at the peak to admire the view, she peeked down and gasped:

“Ty, look! It’s unbelievably beautiful! But I can’t believe we just rode through that road.”

“That’s what makes Ha Giang special,” I said. “Every challenge leads to a moment worth remembering.” 🌍

🏡 The House of Pao – A Romantic Beauty in the Stone Plateau

Stopping at Sung La, we visited the House of Pao, a place made famous by the Vietnamese movie The Story of Pao. As we entered the courtyard, Chut stood still in the middle of a field of yellow mustard flowers, eyes wide with wonder:

“Ty, I feel like I’m inside a movie scene. Everything here feels surreal.” 🌼✨

I laughed and handed her my camera:

“You’re the main character today. Don’t worry, I’ll capture it all for you!” 📸

Chut beamed and softly said:

“Ty, I wish I could bring this beauty back to Thailand. But how can I keep it forever?”

“You don’t need to take it anywhere,” I replied. “Just keep it in your heart, and it will stay forever.” 💖

🏰 The Palace of the Vuong Family – A Witness to History

At the Vuong Family Mansion, Chut slowed down, touching the old stone walls, whispering:

“Ty, every stone here seems to tell a story. I feel like I’m walking through time.”

I nodded:

“This mansion is a symbol of Ha Giang’s history. It’s not just beautiful but holds many stories of the Hmong King and the local people.”

She stood still, gazing at the Yin-Yang rooftops and the open courtyard facing the sky. Then, turning to me, she softly said:

“Ty, I don’t know why, but I feel deeply moved. This place has something truly special.”

🏄️ Ma Pi Leng Pass and the Emerald Nho Que River

The next morning, we conquered Ma Pi Leng Pass. The winding and treacherous road only added to the breathtaking scenery. When we reached the peak, we both stood silent before the stunning view of the emerald green Nho Que River shimmering below.

Chut whispered:

“Ty, I don’t want to leave. This place is so beautiful that I feel so small compared to it.”

“I told you, Ha Giang will leave unforgettable emotions in your heart,” I replied.

We made our way down to the river, where we could touch the cool, crystal-clear water. Chut splashed around, laughing joyfully:

“Ty, the water here is so clear that I can see my own reflection in it. I’ll never forget this place!” 🌊💚

🌟 The End of the Journey, But the Feelings Remain

As we left Dong Van, Chut took one last look, then softly said:

“Ty, I feel like I’ve left a part of my heart here. Ha Giang is not just beautiful, it has a soul.”

I smiled and replied:

“Then come back anytime you miss it. Ha Giang will always welcome you.” 🌟

Dong Van is not just a place; it’s a story. And I – Ty, along with Chut, have written a beautiful chapter in the journey of our lives. ✨💖
