Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Dao Cultural Village
Morning:

06:00: Pick up guests at the meeting point in Hanoi, depart for Ha Giang.
12:00: Stop and have lunch in Ha Giang City.
Afternoon:

Move to Dao cultural village.
Check in at homestay and visit the village.
Interact with local people, listen to introductions about customs and the meaning of Cap Sac festival.
Evening:

19:00: Enjoy dinner with local specialties.
Join the traditional cultural exchange program with songs and dances of the Dao ethnic group.
Day 2: Attend the Dao People’s Cap Sac Festival
Morning:

05:30: Wake up, participate in the opening ceremony at the head of the clan’s house.
Observe the purification ritual, set up the ancestral altar and invite the gods to attend the ceremony.
Admire the sword dancing, drumming, and reading rituals of the shamans.
Noon:

Have lunch with the host family, enjoy corn wine, black pork and traditional dishes.
Learn about the “10 prohibitions” and “10 wishes” – important moral lessons in Dao culture.
Afternoon:

Participate in the main rituals: granting the Dao Sac, reading the name, receiving the Dharma name.
Experience the ritual dance customs, listen to the story of Ban Vuong – the sacred ancestor of the Dao people.
Evening:

Join the festival with dancing, sword dancing, and gong beating.
Interact with the villagers, immerse yourself in the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of the festival.
Day 3: Dao Cultural Village – Ha Giang – Hanoi
Morning:

07:00: Participate in the wine offering ceremony, thanking ancestors to end the ceremony.
Walk around the village, admire the beautiful natural scenery and daily life of the people.
Noon:

11:00: Have lunch, enjoy local dishes before leaving the village.
13:00: Depart for Hanoi.
Evening:

19:30: End of the journey, say goodbye and see you again.
